Every event on this site is checked by Greek-speaking locals before it goes live. We do not pull a feed and hope it is right. If a date, a venue or a price is here, someone who lives in Chania has confirmed it.
That is the whole point: a calendar you can trust, written by people who are actually here, not an aggregator guessing from a distance.
Independent by design
Our editorial choices are our own. When we recommend a place, it is because we rate it, never because anyone paid for the mention.
Spotlight Stars, our quality marks, can never be bought, negotiated or exchanged for a fee. A paying partner can hold no stars; a free listing can hold three. That firewall is absolute.
What we cover
Right now we are focused on one thing done well: the events calendar for Chania, in English, Greek and German. Over time Chania Spotlight will grow into villas, private experiences, quality awards, weddings and boat charters, always with the same rule: local knowledge first.
