50 Years of the Chania Cultural Centre

Two exhibitions marking the Cultural Centre's first fifty years. Closes 30 September, free.

The Chania Cultural Centre turns fifty and marks it with two shows rather than a party. The Covers is a collection of Giannis Valavanidis's original book jacket artwork, the kind of design most people have held without ever registering who made it. From Vision to Practice is drawn from the centre's own archive and traces how the building went from an idea to the thing that has hosted most of the city's serious cultural evenings since 1976. Curated by Lefteris Lamprakis with Maria Michelogianni. Free, and it closes at the end of September.
