Live Music Every Night at Adespoto

A bouzouki and guitar duo plays laika and rebetika every evening from 19:30, in a Venetian courtyard off Sifaka street.

Adespoto sits in the roofless shell of a Venetian building on the corner of Sifaka and Melhisedek, in the old knife makers' quarter, and it does the thing every visitor hopes to stumble on and mostly does not: live music every single evening, not once a week. The duo works bouzouki and guitar, the traditional two piece Greek orchestra, and the set wanders from rebetika through laika to songs everyone at the next table will sing back at them. Music starts at 19:30, which is early by Greek standards, so you can eat properly before the room fills. No ticket, no cover: you are paying for dinner. Worth booking at weekends, because the courtyard is not large and the neighbourhood knows.
