ALBATROSS — A Tribute to Alkis Alkaios

Open music collective ALBATROSS performs a tribute to poet and lyricist Alkis Alkaios in Kontomari's square. Free, voluntary contribution.

ALBATROSS is an open collective, ten musicians deep for this show (guitar, bass, piano, violin, bouzouki, cello, drums and four vocalists), built around the songs and words of Alkis Alkaios, the poet and lyricist behind some of Greece's best-loved songs. It plays out in Kontomari's village square rather than a theatre, doors at 20:00 for a 20:30 start, and it costs nothing to walk in. This is precisely the kind of village-square evening that a national aggregator never surfaces because it isn't ticketed and isn't in Chania town.
