Around the World on Two Wheels — Children's Theatre at Ravdoucha

Marina Panigyraki's touring children's show, built around one happy bicycle. Free, in the village cultural centre.

A bicycle is the whole set. Marina Panigyraki's show rolls it through stories, fairy tales and games with the children watching, with live music from Spyros Vaigousis and a gentle road-safety and ecology thread running underneath. It is billed as an educational programme as much as a play, which in practice means the children are pulled into it rather than sat in front of it. This is one of the Municipality of Platanias' Cultural Summer nights, so entry is free and it happens in the village, not in a theatre. Ravdoucha is a small place high above the coast west of Kolymvari, and the cultural centre is signposted from the village road. The show is in Greek, though a bicycle, a song and a game travel fine without it.
