Chamber Music VII — Tradition & Memory at Ancient Aptera

The same programme as the night before, repeated because one evening at Aptera was never going to be enough to meet demand, and it closes the fourteenth festival. Skalkottas, Kodály and Brahms's G major String Quintet, played by Giorgos Demertzis, Veriko Tchumburidze, Josef Špaček, Marc Sabbah, David Bogorad and Ella Van Poucke. Free with an entry ticket, release TBA. Aptera is about twenty minutes east of town above Souda, and worth arriving early to walk the site before the music.
