3rd Chania Children's Festival

Three days of theatre, music, dance and workshops for kids across the Cultural Center and the Municipal Garden, 2-4 October.

Chania's Children's Festival is back for its third year, taking over the Cultural Center (Pnevmatiko Kentro) and spilling out into the Municipal Garden for a full weekend of theatre, music, dance, workshops, storytelling and art activities aimed squarely at families. It's a real gap-filler: family events are the thinnest category on any Chania calendar, aggregators included, because nothing here sells a conventional ticket in the way a concert does, so word travels by word of mouth and municipal press releases rather than ticketing sites. Workshops run €5, ticketed performances €8, and some free activities need a reservation rather than a ticket, held at Optika Panagiotidis (Apokoronou 71) or Art Zone (Therisou 7, weekdays 18:00-21:00) or by phone. Advance sales and seat bookings open Friday 18 September.
