Thursday Street Market — Nea Chora Laïkí

Thursday's laïkí on the old AVEA plot in seaside Nea Chora, entrances on Akti Kanari and Gerasimou Pardali. 7am–2pm.

Nea Chora, the old fishing quarter just west of the centre with tavernas strung along the water, takes the Thursday laïkí. Since June 2026 it sets up inside the former AVEA plot, the big open ground on Akti Kanari where the 1889 soap and olive oil works stood until the early 2000s. The entrances are on Gerasimou Pardali and the seafront road, and the site doubles as a car park the rest of the week. Handy if you are staying near the beach: fruit, vegetables, cheese and flowers, bought before the heat sets in. Mornings only, done by 2pm.
