Kostas Chavaledakis, Giorgos & Spyros Markakis at Garden Blue, Kolymvari

Eve-of-parade Cretan glenti in Minothiana above Kolymvari: three young players, lyra and laouto. Tue 27 Oct, 21:00.

The night before the Ochi Day parade is a proper glenti night in the villages, and Garden Blue in Minothiana, just above Kolymvari, is putting one on. Kostas Chavaledakis, Giorgos Markakis and Spyros Markakis lead it, pictured on the poster with two lyras and a laouto between them, backed by Vangelis Peloponnisios on laouto and Antonis Fylladitakis on percussion. It starts at 21:00 on Tuesday 27 October, and with Wednesday a public holiday nobody here will be in a hurry to leave. No entry price is published, so call ahead if you want a table.
