An Evening of Choral Favourites — Nopigia Stone Theatre

The closing concert of a Kissamos choral workshop, free at the open-air Stone Theatre by the sea in Nopigia.

A season's worth of choral rehearsal in Viglia and Kissamos comes to a close here, at the small stone amphitheatre built into the coast at Nopigia in 1992. The workshop choir and soloists perform, with soprano Beate Gartner and pianist Matthias Strobl among them under conductor Andrea Fessmann. It is unamplified, open-air and free, donations welcome rather than expected, and the setting alone (the sea a few steps behind the stage) is worth the drive out from Kissamos or Kolymvari.
