Cine Kipos Children's Film Nights

Every Monday and Tuesday the municipal open-air cinema shows a children's film, dubbed in Greek, under the trees for €5.

The Municipal Garden has had a cinema in it since 1912, and the nicest thing the council does all summer is hand two nights a week over to the children. Every Monday and Tuesday the screen carries a family film, almost always dubbed into Greek, starting at 21:00 once the light has gone. Tickets are €5, or €2 if you are a student, unemployed, over 65, a parent of three or more, or disabled, which makes it one of the cheapest evenings in town. What is coming: Little Amelie on 10 and 11 August, Elli and the Ghostly Ghost Train on 17 and 18 August, The Myth of Marakuda on 24 and 25 August, The Super Mario Galaxy Movie on 31 August and 1 September, Spiked on 7 and 8 September and Tafiti Across the Desert on 14 and 15 September. Go early, take something warm for later, and let them fall asleep in the deckchair on the walk home.
