Día de los Muertos Vol. VII at Matzenta Kuzina del Sol

Matzenta's Mexican Day of the Dead returns for a 7th year: face painting and a kids' show from 14:00, DJ El Niño from 17:30.

Matzenta, the kitchen that cooks Oaxaca with Cretan ingredients, throws its Day of the Dead party for the seventh year, and it is one of the warmest odd little traditions in town. The afternoon from 14:00 belongs to families, with face painting until 16:00 and a short children's show by the Fatum theatre company at 16:30. From 17:30 the grown-ups take over, with more face painting and a Latin DJ set from DJ El Niño until 21:30. Bring a photo or a memory of someone you miss, that is the point of the day, and stay for the tacos al pastor, pan de muerto and margaritas.
