Festum π 2026 — Maths, Music & AI

A free week where mathematics, music and AI share a stage, with a Fields medallist and a legendary piano duo.

Festum π is unlike anything else on the summer calendar: a week where mathematicians, musicians and AI researchers share the same stage at the Chania Cultural Center, and every open event is free. The line-up is genuinely starry, with Fields medallist Cédric Villani, MIT's Konstantinos Daskalakis, and two nights from the legendary piano duo Katia and Marielle Labèque. There are concerts, a poetry-and-mathematics evening, and a closing performance built on AI-transcribed madrigals. Most evening events start around 8:30pm; seats are first come, first served, so arrive early.
