16th Earth, Culture, Tourism Festival — Cretan Wine Night in Platanias

Platanias square becomes a Cretan wine festival: watch wine and tsikoudia being made, taste, then music and dance. Sunday 19:30, free.

The Municipality of Platanias closes its Cultural Summer with the 16th Earth, Culture, Tourism festival on Platanias square, Sunday from 19:30, and this year the theme is Cretan wine and everything made from it. It is meant to be hands-on: you can watch and join in the making of wine and tsikoudia, taste Cretan dishes cooked with wine, and try wines and produce from the island. The night finishes the way it should, with traditional music and dancing. Entry is free, and as the finale of the municipality's summer programme it is the last big village night on the Platanias coast this season.
