The Collection — A Guided Tour Towards Happiness (Day 2)
The evening showing of the Perec installation, 21:00 inside the old Venetian monastery. Free, booking required.
The second and final showing, and the one to pick if you would rather see it at night: the stone hall of the old Archaeological Museum, the Venetian monastery of San Francesco, lit up at nine in the evening. The piece takes Georges Perec's Things and rebuilds it as a walk-through apartment of repeated objects, posters and projections, with a three-part electroacoustic score by Anastasia Giamouzi, an installation by Magda Dimou and Io Asithianaki working the room as a live guide who turns the audience's own possessions into the story. It runs an hour. Free, funded by the Ministry of Culture, with a compulsory seat reservation, and worth booking early because the evening slot is the popular one.
