Glenti at the Liostasi Olive Mill — Korfalonas

An olive mill is a good place for a party in a way that is hard to explain until you are standing in one: high ceilings, stone, and a smell that never quite leaves the building. Liostasi at Korfalonas opens its grounds on 18 August for Christos Perathorakis and Manolis Perkolarakis, and the Kissamos traders' association is behind it, which usually means the food is taken seriously. Ten euros in, 21:00 start. Korfalonas sits just inland from the Kissamos coast road, close enough that you can do this and still be back in Chania town in under an hour. A Tuesday in the middle of August is a quiet night everywhere else on the island, which is a decent argument for going.
