An evening of Mozart's brilliance and elegance performed by string orchestra

A string ensemble celebrates Mozart's gift for melody and wit, sparkling virtuosity balanced with the most exquisite tenderness. It unfolds by candlelight inside the historic stone church of Vlatos, a mountain village wrapped in olive groves in western Crete, where centuries-old walls give barely fifty unamplified seats a rare, natural warmth. It is a special evening at the Vlatos Music Hall, home of Vlatos Jazz 2026, whose season of intimate concerts runs from 28 June to 27 September, and a small bar serves honest Cretan food and drink made fresh on the night, before the show and at the interval. There are only about fifty seats, so book ahead.
