Kontylies on Kydonias Street is the town-centre answer to a village glendi: tables, a proper Cretan kitchen and a different player on the little stage most nights of the week. On Saturday 31 October it is Nikomanolis Nyktaris, whose name is also on the line-up of a big charity glendi in Archanes, Heraklion, later in November.
