Volunteers' Bazaar for Orizontas

Handmade pieces, books and jewellery sold for the cancer support association Orizontas. Tsouderon 38A, until 3 October.

Orizontas has supported children and adults with cancer in Chania since 2004, entirely on donations and around 300 volunteers, with no state funding. Its volunteers' bazaar fills the association's own action space on Tsouderon 38A with handmade pieces, books, jewellery, mugs, keyrings and gift items, all of it priced to raise money rather than to trade. The hours are worth noting because they are not uniform: both Saturdays run 10:00 to 13:00 and again 17:00 to 21:00, the weekdays between are evenings only from 17:00 to 21:00, and it does not open on Sunday 27 September. Entry is free, and this is a straightforward way to put something back into the town you are visiting.
