When Thoughts Become Sketches, Words and Pictures: Art Morning for All Ages at the Municipal Gallery

Four hands-on art activities for children and adults around the Alexandros Psychoulis show at the Municipal Gallery. Sat 24 Oct, 11:00.

The Municipal Art Gallery built an education programme around its Alexandros Psychoulis exhibition, "Κινδύνεψα μόνο από ανεξέλεγκτες σκέψεις", and on Saturday morning it opens to everyone, children and grown-ups together. There are four activities: a hands-on walk through the exhibition based on Anna Nebavlaki's programme; a weaving workshop from the Lyceum of Greek Women of Chania, starting from a work by Florentini Kaloutsi; a session with the artist Konstantin Fischer on mistakes as part of making art; and a meeting of music and weaving with the conductor Giorgos Kaloutsis and Florentini Kaloutsi. The programme's own education book is presented too. It starts at 11:00 on Saturday 24 October; the council has published no price or booking process, so arrive a few minutes early.
