Fres marks the eve of Panagia of the Two Rocks with a glenti in the village square, the traditional opening night before the feast itself the following evening. Nikolas Tzigkounakis plays lyra, entry is a flat €5 on the door, and the crowd is mostly Apokoronas villagers rather than visitors, which is exactly the point. Book a table ahead on the number on the poster if you want to sit rather than stand at the edge of the dancing.
