Giorgos Nikiforou Zervakis and Violeta Ikari bring their Roots and Currents tour to the Giali Tzami square. Free, 21:00.

Giorgos Nikiforou Zervakis and Violeta Ikari have been on the road since early June with Roots and Currents, a programme that moves from traditional tunes through entechno into a bit of rock, with well-loved songs next to new ones. The tour reaches Chania on a Monday night, on the open square beside the Giali Tzami at the eastern end of the Venetian harbour. By the council's account the earlier dates turned into sing-alongs with dancing rather than polite listening, and the harbour is a good place for that. Entry is free and it starts at 21:00, so eat on the waterfront first and bring a layer: it is outdoors in late October.
