Round Table: Greek Cultural Identity in the 21st Century

A serious evening rather than a light one: three academics taking on where Greek cultural identity sits as the century turns. Giorgos Kontogiorgis, emeritus professor and former rector of Panteion University, is joined by the writer and philologist Laokratis Vassis and by Eratosthenis Kapsomenos, emeritus professor at Ioannina and president of the Society of Cretan Studies, with open discussion afterwards. It is put on by the Society of Cretan Studies and the Kapsomenos Foundation with the Region of Crete, the Kissamos cultural union and the Historical Archive of Crete. Held in Greek, and entry is free. The kind of thing the Cultural Centre does well and almost nobody outside the city hears about.
