Kontomari Open-Air Cinema — Summer Screenings

Free films projected on the church wall in Kontomari square, Wednesdays at 21:15 until 16 September.

A village square, plastic chairs, a screen hung on the side of the church and no ticket: this is what an open-air cinema looked like before multiplexes, and the Kontomari cultural association has kept it running all summer. Screenings start at 21:15 and the programme runs to short films and Greek independent features with subtitles rather than blockbusters. On 9 September it is a double bill, Thrax Punks Kuzin and We Live Among You, 61 and 54 minutes. The season closes on 16 September with an evening of Spanish-language shorts programmed by FeCHA. Bring a jacket, because the square cools down fast once the sun has properly gone.
