The Tree That Wanted to Travel: Free Children's Theatre

A free theatrical fairy tale for children at the Vlisidis Theatre: Sat 31 Oct and Sun 1 Nov, both at 19:30. Optional donations.

Tsoketo is a young tree with plenty of nerve and even more curiosity, so he leaves the safety of the forest to go and meet the world, and as many children as he can along the way. This theatrical fairy tale by Xanthippi Papadimitriou is staged by Δ.Ε.Α.τρόφιλοι, the theatre group of the Chania branch of the International Police Association, directed by Sofia Logaridou with choreography by Ioanna Chiotaki. Entry is free, with a box for optional donations to the social service of Chania General Hospital and the Agios Nektarios girls' home, and the performances are dedicated to mental-health awareness and breast-cancer prevention. There are two shows, Saturday 31 October and Sunday 1 November, both at 19:30 at the Vlisidis Theatre on Akti Miaouli. The play is performed in Greek, so it suits families with Greek-speaking little ones best.
