Voukolies is the market town of the Kolymvari hinterland, best known for its Saturday street market, and its summer glenti has the same unfussy generosity. Twelve euros gets you in and includes a litre of beer, which is a pricing decision that tells you everything about the evening; under-eighteens pay five. Giorgos Frantzeskakis, Michalis I. Kounalis and Lefteris Georgiladakis all play, which is a lot of firepower for a village night. It starts at half past eight, earlier than most, so this is a rare one you can do and still drive home at a reasonable hour.
