Mafalda, My Heroine

A tribute to Quino's Mafalda, the six-year-old who has been arguing with the world since 1964.

Quino's Mafalda is a small Argentinian girl who hates soup and worries about the state of the world, and she has been doing both since 1964 without ageing a day. She is one of those characters who belongs to whole countries rather than to comics fans, and the strip is as sharp about politics now as it was under a dictatorship. This tribute exhibition is one of fourteen in the Old Customs House. Free, open through the day, and among the better ones to take children to.
